Boys will be boys and this boy LOVES his trucks. I'm just surprised this little man doesn't have dirt all over him because that is usually his mess of choice.

Okay, so they call me "Kim" or "Kiiiiiiim," as Logan prefers, but their mom introduced me as the nanny today. It was a little strange.

June gloom :(

When June gloom (boo!) settles in like it has, all I can do is bust out my big mug of green tea, turn on Pandora, and clean. Yes, today, my apartment will sparkle. Tomorrow? I surely hope the sun comes out...

The Joy of Living, Part 2

Yes, I still miss my live-in spider killer...but I have adapted and learned how to grab a napkin/paper towel/Kleenex and get those 8-legged arachnids out of my living space. I'm a grown-up now.

Now, the latest excitement? Getting bills from the gas company and electric company that are under $10! What?!?
It's the best, really.
My gas bill for last month was $9.73 and my electricity only cost me $8.19. Unbelievable. Gone are the days of porch lights left on ALL night, 5 girls constantly cooking, heaters blasting because we all had different ranges of comfortable temperature, 5 computers plugged in, etc. Living alone is cheap...well, in terms of utilities, at least. :)

I love to bake and eat cookies, but I think I will be taking a little cookie sabatical for a while after baking off 200 of these for Kjersti's bridal shower! Phew. Who knew that a doubled (or supposedly only doubled) recipe could make so many cookies!!
